Stem Cell Research: Yes or No

What's your opinion on the use of Stem Cells? My Biology students are Mountain Crest High School sophomores,  juniors and seniors. They were given an assignment to research stem cells and their use in research and applications in Biotechnology and Medicine. They also were to read about the ethical controversy surrounding the use of Stem Cells. The students then wrote reports answering the question: Should stem cell research continue?

 

Below are links to a selection of their reports. They are among the best of the class' responses and accurately convey the spread of opinions held by the students in the class. Editing has been done only to remove typos or to improve punctuation. Students who turned reports in early received editing suggestions to improve clarity or overall content as would be done with any author's submission to Biotrends.
